Great concept but pony didn’t like the taste
I loved the convenience of having one supplement cover all of our bases, but after a few months my pony decided he didn’t like the taste. He’s generally a pretty voracious eater, so at first I was worried he was sick… but turns out he just wouldn’t touch his feed when these pellets were in it. I’ve tried everything I can think of to bribe him to eat it, but he either eats around the pellets or completely rejects it.

Disappointed.Pellets are mostly powder
I really really really want to like this! Unfortunately, every time I’ve gotten it, it’s gotten worse as far as the pellets. It is becoming mostly pellet dust. For whatever reason the pellets aren’t staying together, you would probably be best off just ordering the powder version if there is one. My horses do not like powdered supplements, so there is a lot of waste. Won’t be ordering again

Something has changed:(
My senior horse has eaten SmartCombo Senior Ultra for years without issue, but won't touch it for the past several months. I've thought maybe we got an off batch so kept with his subscription, however he still won't touch it or any grain it's in with, unfortunately.

Something changed
Same as a previous reviewer, my horse has had this before but stopped eating the last few weeks when this latest batch was added to his feed. Stopped the Smartpaks and he's eating again.

Taste has changed
My older boy, now 30,was eating this for a cpl years now. Then it changed to four little packs and he keeps leaving half his feed, and now for the first time all of it. But I'm stuck with a whole new 28 days because I was not paying attention. I will try to add apple sauce or something to help the taste. I have cancelled it and will tr something different. It is also expensive so maybe this was a blessing in disguise. Most of the time the SmartPak supplements are fine and I will continue to use others.

Added benefits to the GI Ultra!
I have been dealing with free fecal water syndrome with my 21 year old quarter horse cross for several years and finally found a supplement that worked with the GI Ultra. At 21 though I felt like he needed the added hoof and joint supplements so switched to the Smart Combo Senior Ultra which is continuing to keep the free fecal syndrome in check with the added benefits!

bad smell/taste?
My mare was leaving her grain all day, when normally it’s the first thing she goes for. We thought maybe it’s because it’s a new supplement, but now going on two months she still turns her head away from it and leave it all day. It has a very strong odor so I’m not sure if that’s what’s turning her away, or the taste itself. I really wanted this product to be a hit!

Nice results. Until mare rejected.
We had great results with this supplement for several months. Then my mare stopped eating the SmartCombo Senior Ultra pellets and actively ate around them. Her dedication to NOT eating the SmartCombo Senior Ultra pellets was impressive yet frustrating! We went back to the SmartFlex Senior Herb-Free joint supplement. I found a local horse rescue that was happy to have the un-opened and unused supplements.

Great combo supplement for my senior mare!
My horse seems to be doing very well on this supplement. She was originally on the SmartFlex Senior Herb-Free joint supplement, so I was happy to see that that was the joint component of this supp. There are a lot of great ingredients with decent amounts included — and show legal. I have always been a worried horse-mom concerned about her digestive system, particularly her hind gut health, but now I feel more comforted knowing that my horse is covered with Colicare and again, I like the ingredients in SmartDigest Ultra. My girl has been so so shiny lately and her hooves look great (although only using supp for 2 months so will need more time to assess overall hoof health after starting this supplement). Very palatable. This combo supp does offer more bang for your buck and covers all key areas we as riders want to support our horses with. Recommend!!!
