A research study has shown through the use of the Diamond V in vitro intestinal activity modifier model (IAMM), it was demonstrated that SmartDigest Ultra, SmartDigest Ultra Pellets, and SmartGI Ultra Pellets - which all contain DVEquine postbiotic-produce higher levels of VFAs (volatile fatty acids) than an alfalfa/grass hay mix alone and may support the normal, healthy structure and function of the hindgut of the horse.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great ingredients, not palatable The ingredients were just what I was looking for and comprehensive for the entire GI tract. But my horse will not eat this. She is extremely picky to be fair. I would have loved the colic care coverage but I had to throw this away because if the horse won't eat it, it's not doing a thing for her.

Started using this product about 6 months ago and she has "road apples" again and seems calmer. Very pleased with results! Thank you for great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ulcer prevention supplement My standardbred retired harness racer had very bad ulcers and went through the normal medical protocol for it and my vet recommended GI ultra and he’s been on it now for 2 months and he’s doing great. It has every ingredient that is good for coating the stomach and huns gut and he’s doing great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tummy Troubles Gone and Dapples are Back! My 3 yo developed fecal water and soft stools in August. Our vet put her on soaked hay and SmartGI Ultra Pellets. 6 weeks later she has a shiny coat with dapples that really pop. Her stool is solid and the fecal water issue has stopped. She loves the pellets and they are easy to feed. The insurance policy is a comfort even if we hope we never have to use it. Our subscription is now part of her regular care.

My Thoroughbred has been treated for stomach ulcers in the past and I knew I wanted to support his stomach with a supplement to help buffer excess stomach acid. The SmartGI® Ultra Pellets support his stomach and help keep his hindgut functioning well. This supplement is ColiCare eligible and I feel good knowing I am supporting his entire digestive tract!

Red irritated skin on his hocks, runny poop stains that I couldn't get rid of. I am a SmartPak tried and true believer in their products, so I tried this before going other routes. It took about 2 weeks before I noticed the difference, but this was WONDERFUL product to change to. Highly recommended for horses with tummy troubles!
