Good for light use!
I have a 15.2 quarter horse who’s about average build to stocky for his size. He generally fits in a 78 sheet or blanket comfortably regardless of brand and medium-large size hood depending on the brand.
I ordered him a 78 and the sheet was snug, not a ton of room for adjustment but fit his chest to tail okay but not much room for adjustment in the hind end for tightening the chest without his tail flap raising and the hind end becoming exposed. The withers to poll area of the neck are too short. Even without movement or lowering the head it barely reaches from chest/withers to poll/throat latch without pulling it too far forwards where his hind end becomes exposed/uncovered. As soon as he lowers his head to eat or drink easily a 10 inches of his neck is exposed/uncovered. The fit around the neck (circumference) is fine! If anything it may even be a bit large.
All together I didn’t return it 1. Because I already tried it on my horse and I didn’t think I could, and 2. Because it fit for the most part and my horse is extremely destructive that I knew he’d probably ruin it anyway regardless and the fit was good enough that it worked for his needs.
I had purchased this brand and type of sheet prior but without the neck, for 2 of my other horses as a test of the durability before purchasing this sheet for my other horse who’s much more rough on his “clothes,” to see if it was even worth buying to save money because he’s ruined many very expensive fly sheets.
The goal was to get my horses an inexpensive fly sheet that wasn’t as heavy/thick to keep them cooler during the summer.
For the price, these sheets worked okay! They definitely aren’t very well made or durable but they are pretty light weight and if you have a horse who isn’t too rough they will probably last about a year/season.
Despite the sizing being mediocre, I don’t dislike this sheet! It did start coming apart at the seems at places within the first week or two but it’s still usable for what I needed!
My horse is a show horse who’s primarily in his stall and only wears his fly sheet etc when he’s specifically on grass turn out which is anywhere from 10mins to 2hours a day and that is dependent on several factors so he may not even be in his fly sheet 24 hours a month. He’s also monitored and with no other horses.
My horse is very intelligent and extremely destructive for fun. He generally wears a muzzle to help prevent/minimize his destruction but it doesn’t stop him so I’ve adapted and I expect to replace things frequently. With that being said I didn’t expect longevity from this sheet because even the best of the best don’t survive long enough with my horse to enjoy and many times are hotter. I wanted a cool/light weight sheet a horse could wear to enjoy some grass and be a horse for a bit without the bugs bothering them too bad and this did okay! I won’t lie the fact I personally (not my horse, me) tore the stitching out just undoing the Velcro on the neck was VERY disappointing! Lol It shouldn’t have happened to be honest! It was simply a quality you’d see from a cheaply made product. Since, I’ve held the edges and gently peeled it free to avoid ripping more of the sheet but I shouldn’t have to do that. I just pulled the strap like I do with everything else and never once had that happen. Lol

Extremely breathable
Super light weight and extra breathable. I live in South Florida and even in mid-August I can put this sheet on without my horse sweating. My horse rolls everyday and so far it has held up.

You get what you pay for
Purchased this sheet for my stalled mare who is really good with her blankets and sheets. She had been wearing a hand-me-down fly sheet that was at least 15 years old and one of the straps finally gave out. Purchased this one in June and it’s already trashed from normal wear in a stall. Nothing to rip or snag it on. I had debated on purchasing due to mixed reviews, but figured since my mare is easy on blankets/sheets it would work fine for at least one season. Unfortunately that was a mistake.

Cheap option
Fit my gelding perfectly, but within a week he shredded the part where the buckle straps connect. Definitely a cheap option for 1 fly season max. He also seemed to still get bit through the blanket, but it really reduced the number of bites.

Not great but not terrible
You definitely get what you pay for with this. My horse ripped the first one in a matter of weeks which is very unlike him.

What a value!
This is the second one I've purchased, for another horse. They stay on and cover well. I bought the first one for a horse that the horse flies seem to really go after. It did the trick - no more looking out to see him crow hopping, kicking and running to get away from them and no more welts.

Hopefully he won't destroy it! After all he is a 2yr old boy! But it looks good fitts good and I really like the ease to putting it on him.

Cheap and doesn’t hold up!
The price is the only good thing about this item. My horse completely ripped EVERY fastening - shoulder, neck, and surcingles - on the FIRST night I used it. He isn’t particularly tough on his blankets but this one didn’t even last 24 hours. If your horse goes out overnight or rolls, save your money and get a higher quality sheet.

A nice lightweight fly sheet
This is a great sheet for the price. Lightweight for hot weather! I do wish it had shoulder gussets, but otherwise it is lovely. Fits true to size. Aggressive bugs can get through but for most things it works very well.
