Ceramic particles in the SmartTherapy® ThermoBalance® Ceramic Hock Wraps penetrate beneath the skin to activate blood flow, which may help decrease inflammation and increase mobility in the hocks. These wraps are made from ThermoBalance® fabric that absorbs body heat and reflects it back to your horse as soothing far infrared rays, making these hock wraps great for any discipline or activity level. They may also be especially beneficial for stiff horses or those in heavy work. Hock wraps feature elastic straps with Velcro closures. Machine wash in cold water, line dry. Sold in pairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SmartPaker Megan from Worked great for my horse I got these on a whim at the end of winter because my horse was dealing with some stiffness issues in the hocks. I decided to give these a try and I'm glad I did. I started using them slowly, wrapping his hocks for 10 minutes while we tacked up, and another 10 minutes after riding. It took a few weeks, but sure enough he started opening up and having less trouble picking up the canter. Care and cleaning for these is easy enough, I simply hose them off and let them lay in the sun to dry when they need to be cleaned. The Medium fit my 16hh OTTB perfectly, and he accepted them readily after a few wears. The first few times he was confused about what I was strapping to his legs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Twhmum from Lasted one week - very disappointing. I was pleased when I received the large wraps, they fit my 16.1 hh TWG well and stayed up. My gelding only wore these in his stall overnight for about a week, one tore at the stitching, the other one will soon. These are too expensive to be "disposable" Very disappointed in such poor quality in a Smartpak product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Horseowner from Best for arthritic hocks These have made a big difference for my older horse. They are very easy to put on and take off, so I use them more consistently. I’ll put them on while grooming or just hanging out at the barn. After about 4 days of use about an hour or two per day, noticeably better movement and improved comfort. Note - For hock sores I use the HockShield boots overnight, also from Smartpak, and they work very well for that purpose. I’ll keep using the ceramic therapy FIR boots to help my arthritic horse’s movement, and would purchase again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dann from Did not last long I bought these a while before winter so I could help prevent hock sores on my horse when she was stalled for the winter nights. I started using about a month ago and they don't stay up. The edges and seams are already starting to come apart.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AJ M from Poor fit I received these boots as a gift and was so excited to try them for my AQHA with hock arthritis. Unfortunately, these boots are way too boxy and don't fit him at all. No matter how tight they are, they're still quite baggy, and slip down his legs. The bottom strap also seems to be way too large in general. Even when the boots were on the loose side, the bottom strap was cranked to nearly the max. Decent quality, but the fit needs to be refined. I had high hopes, so this was disappointing.

I put these wraps on my horse each night while he is in the stall, and each morning he comes out less stiff and more supple! The hock wraps are very well made and have held up to daily use. They also fit true to size and stay in place.
