Very Disappointed
I purchased three of these haynets based off of the reviews stating they're better quality. This is perhaps the worst haynet I've ever used. While yes, the quality of the haynet if good. The openings for the horse are too small. I wanted to use haynets to slow feed; but my horse is having to grab maybe two strands of hay at a time as they're too small. I'm having to pull hay through some of the netting to get my horse interested in even using them. Our older gelding just gives up as he's too frustrated to use them. The haynets also do not have a metal ring at the bottom or on the top opening like I'm used to, perhaps I assumed these were standard as I've not had a hay net without them; but it makes it really difficult to load the hay or hang the hay net. Since the horses are being rougher on these to get more hay out I can see them tearing really easily. I noticed in another comment they state the haynets only last maybe a year or so ... and now I can see why. My previous haynets have lasted for over 10 years without issue. I would return them but 1. they're used and 2. the price to return is almost as much as a haynet. I've cut a few of the openings to make them bigger and will use these as to not waste them; but I will look elsewhere when I'm ready to buy again.

Amazing Value!
The 50" Shires Haynet is my new favorite hay solution! This haynet is super simple, yet durable and holds up well. This haynet features 2" holes that are perfect for minimizing hay waste while not restricting my Thoroughbreds' consumption too much. Best of all, the 50" size is large enough to fit an entire, two-string hay bale. You also cannot beat the quality at this affordable price!

Holds up pretty well. Wish it was bigger.
My extremely destructive horse managed to rip a hole after a week… longest anything has held up as of yet! Our Clydesdale and OTTB have no ripped any holes in the nets even months later. They’ve held their color pretty well in the sun and with multiple washes. Durable and worth the money.

Still holding up great after 2 years!
This is my second review for these hay bags. My first review was 2 years ago after I first bought them.
Now I can honestly say . . . these hay bags are the absolute best. They are well made, easy to fill and have been holding up after all of this time. Prior to finding these, I had tried several different types of hay bags. I was hesitant at first because the price was so much lower than other brands. All of the other types that I had used didn't hold up, or they were too hard to fill (or both). I have a huge supply of the Shires Haynets so that I can fill and weigh enough bags to cover when I need to leave my horses' care with someone else. I fill and weigh the bags before I leave. They just have to replace the empty bags with the filled ones. No mess, no waste, and I know that the horses are not being over- or underfed. I use the 40" size and feed 2x per day. These are perfect for hanging in my stalls.

High Durability, Low Hay Waste
I have had these for at least 6 months, fed out of 24/7 and love them! The only time I have had a strand break is when a blanket strap got stuck (yikes!). I bought a slightly cheaper net from another site, and I will not make that mistake again. This is the best "bang for your buck" as far as hay nets go. Please buy these.

Great Hay Nets
I bought these nets to take to horse shows and keep my horse occupied. I can fit two or three flakes in these and they have been great. Took me a few exchanges to get the right size but the medium has been great. The large are huge, I won’t say how I know but I can fit in it.

Great simple hay net
I bought a few of these hay nets earlier this year and it's a nice basic hay net. Two flakes fit in the 40" size pretty well, especially with the help of a hamper. One of my horses is a fairly aggressive eater and she's taught me not to spend much money on hay nets. These last a few months give or take and I keep an extra one or three on hand. The quality is very fair for the price and I appreciate the fun color choices.

Durable and easy to load! Great colors!
I first ordered the smaller Shires bags that hold one flake. They are great for the trailer when I only need to take a snack for the horses. Because I liked the smaller bags, I next purchased the larger bags. They have become my favorite due to the draw cord being bigger diameter and easy to handle and the way the bottom is shaped. These bags have a rectangular shape at the bottom which makes them really easy to load. I stuff two flakes in them and have room to spare. I like the small openings to keep the waste down. I'll be ordering more of these!
