Rated 5 out of 5 by Emily from Best Stirrups ever I've had a pair of MDC Ultimate Stirrups for at least 10 years, and I have ridden in many other stirrups, especially recently as I'm trying out potential new horses. I have yet to find a stirrup as comfortable or as secure as these. I've started bringing along a pair of these stirrups and leathers when I got try horses because I'm just tired of riding in stirrups that hurt my ankles, knees, and hips. And again I've been riding in these for at least 10 years, they have not rusted or caused any problems in all the time I've been using them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KarenM from Very heavy Bought these to replace basic jointed stirrups. I have severe knee issues and I thought these would be beneficial. High quality and I like the angle options but they are simply too heavy. Will be returning for a different style.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jade from Very heavy and do not help I bought these because even with half chaps I get constant rubs inside my lower legs. These did not help at all! I'm not really sure why, they look like they should help, but they just didn't (yes, I did adjust the top to 90 degrees). But also, they are really heavy! At least twice the weight of normal stirrups, and taller too. If they weren't so heavy I'd use them because why not, maybe they help a little, but they add so much weight I'm not going to use them for no reason. Very disappointing, a huge waste of money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nzuzarte from Good stirrups! Love these stirrups, the ability to rotate them and not have stirrup leather pressure is great. However, I have one complaint/warning.. I realize these stirrups are heavy to keep them in place should you loose one, it's easy to recover. However, they are really heavy, and if you ride without your stirrups a lot, and don't cross your stirrups, they really beat up your ankles. I've started crossing them, but I've always preferred not to, in the event that I want them back quick, I like them down and ready.

My horse has a very springy trot which hurts my knees but with these stirrups I don't even think about my knees. I use them in the 90 degree angle. They really are great and I never write reviews.
