Disappointed - poor quality leather
Wow, what happened to Edgewood's quality? Clearly, it has gone downhill. This martingale was poorly made; the backside of the leather is cross hatched pressed saffiano leather, which looks and feels cheap. It was not worth over $200. I returned it and as usual Smartpak was excellent about handling the return quickly and efficiently.

Edgewood rocks!
Such nice leather. Oils up dark on first try. Lovely. I recommend Edgewood! I bought another cob martingale for this horse and it was just a tad short from nose to girth and I know Edgewood runs a tad generous, so this fit my 15.2 hand horse (I ordered a cob size.) like a dream. Expensive but worth it in the long run.

Fit my long necked Thoroughbred
I tried other o/s martingales that were too short. This one fits great and looks great. I have not used it yet.

Beautiful Martingale
I bought this martingale to match my Edgewood show bridle......it darkened and softened "like butta" after oiling it just once and has stayed supple, soft and beautiful!

Edgewood makes amazing stuff.
I bought this martingale at the same time I bought my bridle and it was worth the money. The leather is high quality and the fancy stitching has held up. I broke my school martingale so I have been using this one for schooling and showing. It shows wear easier than the bridle does, but looks brand new after cleaning, unlike my schooling one. It is expensive, but the quality is amazing and I would definitely buy any Edgewood product again.

Beautiful!!
I love this martingale. The leather is beautiful and soft. The one downer is that the leather will stretch some with time. A note on sizing. Edgewood products tend to run large. I have this martingale in an oversize and it is on the third smallest hole on my large boned 17.3h dutch warmblood. It was the only martingale I could find that was large enough for him.
