Be careful taking the tags off!!
Love this crop but the gel handle was easy to damage when I removed the tag that was attached to the handle. I know it's my fault....I should have been more careful getting the tag off but I ruined a new item in seconds. Fortunately it wasn't expense.

It's a No-drop Crop
I've had quite a few of these. They are the ONLY bats/crops I do not drop, unless I'm at the barn using a crop with a wrist loops (but refusing to let it embarrass me, joke).
The problem is that I've dropped 3 to the ground (right before I dismount) so I don't poke myself in the eye. Then my horse steps on the handle and there is no way to repair that.
I NEVER drop it unintentionally. 4 stars because I wish it came in a "bat" length for showing.

Loved it at first, but it broke quickly
I bought this awhile ago but only got a few uses out of it before the silver end on the gel handle fell off. I ended up having to ditch it because the end wouldn't go back on and it kept falling out of my hand. Great price, but poor quality.

Love this comfortable whip
I use this whip on daily rides and in local competition. Wish it came in black, but deal with the blue because it is comfortable in my hand, never cramping. I almost forget it's there. Good length for taps on the shoulder, behind leg, or rear.

great crop!
i first got one of these crops as a christmas gift back in 2016 when i had just started riding. since then, i've purchased 3 more! if that doesn't attest to how much i love this crop, i don't know what does. i also love the length of these crops. i compete in the hunters, so i have to use those tiny little hunter bats, which i hate for schooling because they're so short that i always hit my saddle pad instead of the horse. these are nice and long (but not too long- they're far from a whip) so that instead of hitting my saddle pad i hit the horse's side. as far as how well it works as a 'wake-up call' for a lazy horse, it works great! i also love the gel handle. it's nice and soft, but not slippery, so it's easy to hold in your hand without your fingers starting to cramp.
however, i wish these were a little more durable. the thread that attaches the end of the crop (the part that hits the horse) to the 'rod' of the crop came partly undone (to be fair, this was after probably 8 months of frequent use)- nothing that couldn't be fixed with some superglue, though! overall, these are sooo worth the price, and when the time comes, i'll buy a fourth!
TLDR; these are a great length, easy to hold, and wake up the horse. they're not the most durable, but for the price you pay, they're so worth it!
