Rated 5 out of 5 by SmartPaker Carrie from Best clippers ever! I have been using these clippers for many many years and have clipped hundreds of horses. They are the best clippers! Lightweight but powerful. Quiet and long lasting. I like that these clippers are smaller so you can get in the tighter spaces like the armpits or around the face. I clean the clippers after every use and apply oil and cooling spray as needed. I recommend the Andis AGC Super 2 Speed Clipper to all my friends!

They should last way longer and I can’t clip ONE horse without brand new blades going full. I have to rebuy blades every single time I clip again and need 2 new blades to finish one horse. I use the T-84 which is around $50 so having to rebuy them so much has not made me happy and it’s a waste of money

Rated 5 out of 5 by Abigail from Absolutely love these clippers My horse was diagnosed with Cushingss Disease and has struggled for the last two years to shed completely even on Rx medication. I bought these to do a comfort shave for her but it works so well! It looked so professionally done (even for my first time) that people thought she hadn't been body clipped and it was just her summer coat. Love these things, and the blades are high quality too. It didn't leave lines and I didn't have to go over the same spot repeatedly.

I haven’t done a full body clip yet but I watched my professional use these clippers last fall and I was amazed that they could do the same job as the loud 5-pounders. Blades get hot so have a spare pair of blades to change to during big jobs. Andis has simplified the blade assembly for fool proof operation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Thundervalleyhorses from skin the animal I bought this recently for a full body trim for my horse. I did get them from Tractor supply. The blade that comes with them will skin your animal down to a surgical cut. It is advertised for a full horse body clip but who wants a "skinned" looking horse? They only include the one T84 blade and do not tell you how closely the animal will be trimmed. Luckily I started with a mane cut which was ok. It would seem natural they should include either guards or another blade for leaving the hair at least 1/2 inch long without a skinned appearance. The instructions for changing a blade look daunting and the "picture instructions" are very small. If i hear back from the company I may change my review. But they really should not advertise these clippers with this 84 blade for a full body clip of a horse!! It is false advertising. It is a surgical cut from what I saw today when I cut a mane short for medical reasons. I am very dissatisfied with this trimmer so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SmartPaker Danielle from Great for body clipping thick coats! I’ve had Andis clippers for as long as I can remember and have always loved their durability and effectiveness. A couple years back, I started body clipping my own horses and I knew I could count on these clippers. I love that for a body clipper, they are super affordable and very easy to use and hold. They come with a T-84 blade, which I love, but personally for body clipping I prefer to use a 10 blade, so I love that the blades are removeable and easily interchangeable. Another great thing about these clippers is they are quiet, so are a great for sensitive horses. I am lucky that both of my horses stand like statues while I body clip them, but I am not super-fast, nor am I an expert, so I love that these never overheat while I take my time and try to make it look perfect. The motor is also super long lasting, which is great. I’ve had issues in the past with other clippers leaving rows of lines after using them for too long, and I have never had that problem with these. I always like to bathe my horses before I clip them to remove as much dirt as possible, but I’ve found these clippers to be able to cut through dirt and even the coarsest of hair on my older guy. These also work great for clipping the legs, face, muzzle and ears. They really can do it all! I do try to care for them the best I can to prolong their life, so I always use a cooling spray and make sure to brush down the blades and clear out the dry cap when I am done.
