Useful might be better at 3-3.5ft ht
At 36hrs as mid-May in TX approaches, two Bite Free Stable Fly Traps caught only 1 stable fly each and a couple other insects, with the caveat that the stable fly population is significant yet decreasing due to the addition of fly predators (Kunafin) in March and an IGR (Equitrol II, which is the same as SlimpliFly but cheaper).
I think that the label's directions to hang at 4foot height is a bit too high for leg-biters (stable-flies), so will probably lower these 2 traps by 6in or so.

Needs a shield for birds!
Got this big bug trap and put it on patio. Caught a bird within first hour. It was horrible getting it out. This trap is very sticky and should catch lots of bugs. It needs a shield to keep the birds out! I’m still saddened by this poor little bird that got caught. Maybe inside the barn will be safer for birds.

Wonderful Fly Traps!
Love this trap!
Unfortunately the sticky glue doesn't last long enough & the clear plastic tends to get a little " cloudy" after a while.

Works great
I have been ordering this fly trap with other brands every year. My QH is turned out full time and I try to make sure I keep the flies at bay as much as I can. As we all know there is nothing that will completely illuminate them but these help.

Huge reduction in biting stable flies this year!
I learned about these this year and decided to give them a try. I have bought about 10 of these now. I place them on each corner of my horse’s shed. I can’t believe how many flies these have already trapped to take out of the current population and stop reproduction of the next generation!

Traps birds, not flies
I purchased this to trap the different fly species that aren't attracted to the smelly bag traps. I hung this according to the directions on the box. First day it caught one bird, one honeybee, zero flies. It went straight into the trash after that.

Works but made me sad
Trap is super sticky but I found mostly bees and other insects that I actually want stuck to it also, the yellow traps didn’t attract the beneficials like this white/clear one did. I ended up getting rid of it after two days.

Too sticky
This will catch flies, bees, butterflies and lizards! I had to throw it away because it caught 2 lizards that then cooked in the sun and several beautiful butterflies. Works too well.

Not working as I thought
Bought this item so it would keep biting flies away from my horse, however it hasn't accomplished that. It does have many small moths stuck to it.

Pesty pests
When placed in the sun at the approximate height of my horse's canon bones near areas that the horses rest or that are moist (water trough, run off areas), we trap LOTS of stable flies! Love reducing the population of biting pests!
