Cup of nighty night tea for Horses!
I love this product! It has similar ingredients as my night time herbal tea. I think they sleep better since ive been giving it to them. So I'm hoping its adding to their longevity/ their quality sleep.

No change after 3 months
Sadly didn’t see any difference with 3 months of use. Was hoping this would be the game changer we were looking for for this horse . But I didn’t see any change and he even became more reactive. I feel like I gave it a fair shot for 3 months and was hoping a more natural herbal approach would work. Back in the hunt for something else.

Total game changer for my reactive gelding!
I started my grade QH gelding on this product a month ago. He is a sensitive, reactive horse and over the past seven years I have used diet, training, exercise, tack changes and every method I could think of to help him relax. SmartTranquility pellets are the last piece of the puzzle. I did not see strong effects at first but over the first month on this supplement he has become calmer, much less physically reactive, and happier. His training focus is much improved. He does not act drugged or drowsy - he’s mellow! I am beyond happy at these changes in my horse. Side benefit - it also seems to have cleared up a lingering digestive issue for him.

It has helped reduce overreactions
I called SmartPak's customer service to ask about the SmartHolistic product and SmartTanquility was suggested as a starting point, with the though that if it didn't work to move to the SmartHolistic product.
My guy has been on this for several months now and I can say that it has helped calm his mind. I saw a change after about a week on the product! He will still spook at things, but with less of an overreaction and the spook will be over something that is reasonable, not because of something silly. I am also, able to refocus him much quicker post-spook since starting the supplement. When he has been off of the supplement due to being off his grain, he is back to his overreactive self. But within a few days of restarting the supplement, he starts to act more calm.
The product is at least worth a try if other magnesium based calming supplements are not cutting it, especially for the price point.

Didn't Work for my Mare
I had my mare on this for a little over a month and it had quite the opposite of the intended effect. Tried upping the dose, changing the time of day she ate it, etc. Finally took her off of it and within 48 hours she was back to normal. A quick phone call to SmartPak customer service and I was not only issued a refund on the product but also advised on others that might be worth trying. Thanks SmartPak!

Smartpak Tranquility and Ultra Calm are amazing!
My 13 yo MFT mare has always been over reactive and anxious and started to be anxious on the trail and being unblanketed. I initially tried Smartpak Tranquility but found that after a month it only took the edge off. I saw a Q&A that I could use Smartpak Tranquility and Smartpak Ultra Calm together and after 56 days, my mare is a totally different horse! She is now very relaxed and calm on the trail even when other horses are reactive and is very calm when being unblanketed. Friends have told me how much calmer she has been and I think Smartpak Tranquility and Ultra Calm made all the difference!

Helps settle my mare in so many ways - great pro.
This is the only supplement that has helped calm my OTTB mare. The magnesium & aloe help sooth her anxious stomach & the valerian & chamomile work wonderfully well. THANK YOU!!

Mild calming effect.
My vet rated this a “2 out of 10” on a scale of calming in her opinion due to ingredients. Im feeding it to my spicy OTTB because im going to move him and my other boy in a few days to a new stable and want to reduce stress. He is in a paddock alone with my other horse and when I took my other horse in for his nightly eye treatments, OTTB went wild as expected. Soon he will have a herd of friends which will help with the anxiety when I take the other guy in. (I’ll just take them in together until then.)
I took OTTB in the arena after I brought his friend back to make sure he didn’t hurt himself while thrashing alone and he seemed a bit calmer than he would have been, alone in the arena than without this supplement. Usually he is a real handful when he is alone in the arena. Something stronger could help him more but overall he is a good boy and this alone -with less stress- is strong enough for him.

Aloe Vera is the only good thing
I did really see a difference with the smart tranquility. I did like how it had aloe vera though. Unfortunately it auto shipped in the smart paks so I'll feed it this month but I'll be removing it for next.

Great Calming mood stabilizing supplement
This is a great calming supplement to help with everyday stress and heat cycles of mares. It gives them a great balanced temperament with also the support they need for overall system calmness and support. I love this product for mares. She's incredibly anxious and has extreme trust issues. She's gone from rearing bucking and acting like a feral wild child when ridden to walking calmly around the ring and around the property. This supplement combined with a lot of work on trusting and being calm has given her a future. She gobbles it up in her grain without a second thought.
