Minerals Vital for Maintaining Health
Mined from the vast and ancient Himalyan mountains, these licks are a 550 million year old source of minerals and trace elements for your horse or pony. The distinctive rose pink color comes from the salt’s high mineral content, including iron, potassium, and magnesium, which are all vital for maintaining health. Mass-produced salt licks are produced using salt with minerals added in during the manufacturing process, but that’s not the case with Himalayan salt, where the minerals are naturally found within the salt. Himalayan rock salt licks are literally “rock hard,” meaning that horses and ponies are unable to bite chunks off the block, a problem than can occur with softer “pressed” salt licks. These licks are also more weather resistant, which means they can be safely left outside in the field for horses to “self-dose.” We've found that horses like them more than other salt licks! Available in small (2.2 lbs), medium (6.6 lbs) or block (4.4 lbs, 2”x4”x8”). The small and medium licks include a rope. The 4.4lb block fits in most standard salt block holders and does not come with a rope.

Himalayan Salt Licks are much loved by my horses! I keep a medium-sized lick in each of my stalls. My horses prefer these licks over pressed salt blocks and regularly consume the salt. The included rope also makes this lick a great option to take to shows and can easily be hung anywhere. Best of all, these salt licks are high quality and contain minerals and trace elements to help your stay hydrated and thrive!

My horses don't like it.
I've bought Himalayan Salt Licks before from Tractor Supply, and the horses gobble them up fast. I bought this one, and they don't like it. There are a few licks on it, but it just sits there. I've got a mini who will eat anything, and she won't go near it. It was expensive, too.

Natural salt lick
My horses love this salt block! I also prefer purchasing this rather than the typical salt blocks because this is salt from the Earth. No additives, no processing, just natural minerals and the way salt is supposed to be, making it a healthier option.

Live the form!
My horse, Buttercup, loves the Himalayan salt lick, but I prefer the block that goes in the holder. This satisfied us both. I had never seen it in the block form.

Great choice
I bought this for a horse living in a mare motel. I like that it won’t dissolve in the rain, and I like I can easily attach to her stall. Not large blocks to trip over, no worry of over consumption in her feeder, and no stall bracket to poke her face. I’m getting these for my stalled horses as well.
