The SmartPaks are simple to add to her feed and she loves eating it. With this we know she gets the proper nutrients and water intake esp. during our hot and humid summer in Virginia.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aallegre from Seemed helpful while he would eat them... I personally love himalayan salt and won't use anything else. My horse licks walls, me, other horses, you name it. He will try to obtain salt (or...whatever he's getting from the walls) from anywhere, and for a while, he was okay with this in his food, but like most supplements, he started to eat around it after a while. I think it did help him during the hottest weather, though. I guess we will stick to salt licks for now. So, I'm rating this as my horse would rate it...there's no accounting for taste!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elizabeth from Himalayan nutritional value compared to others I don't understand why it does not list all the other incredible minerals that are present, even if amount varies, in himalayan salt. For example calcium is 4 times more than redmond salt, yet it is not listed. It also has magnesium, potassium, sulfur, iron, selenium, phosphorus and iodine. When you compare the nutritional value of redmond and himalayan, the information is not at all accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ABrakefield from Better than Other Salts I find this to be a much more economical (less waste) and cleaner (no dirt/leaving out) way to give salt to my horse. While he does have access to free salt, he loves the Himalayan crumbles in his SmartPaks. It not only helps him eat his other supplements, it helps me know he's getting enough each day, to encourage his fluid intake. Great product and GREAT that it's available in daily SmartPak doses.
