Rated 1 out of 5 by Hay chix hay bags from Only if your hay comes from Temu I ordered this at the Clinton Anderson clinic. They had the large one on display they told me the smaller one was just a few inches shorter. I placed my order they said it will hold 2 flakes of hay! The only way it will hold 2 flakes is if you buy your hay on Temu! I messaged them with my concerns and was told i would have to pay $10 to return it. I was given the option of returning it at their cost and paying $20 more for the bigger bag and they would pay shipping but it would take 4 to 5 weeks to get the new bag. Will not be buying from them again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Samdy from Too hard to fill Hard to fill, as a stable hand who was filling these for several horses it was hard to fit more than 1-2 flakes in unless the hay was super soft, thin cut and loose. The alfalfa and orchard/alfalfa was nearly impossible. It is like trying to stuff a couch cushion into a standard bed pillowcase. Maybe if it had side gussets it would work, but the flat seams just don't work with boxy hay flakes

Rated 3 out of 5 by deel from too small haybag I owned 2 of the large 1.5" bags but wanted 2" so ordered 2 bags in the smaller size. These bags are sturdy and do not fall apart. But I can barely get one small flake of alfalfa through the opening, takes too much effort. It is no way sized for 2 flakes. I would say the large bags would only hold 2 flakes. Here on the West coast we only get 3 wire bales of hay. Advertisement is incorrect.

I bought one of these several years ago for my gigantic frat-boy of a thoroughbred who destroys everything but also is a weirdly easy keeping TB so needed to have his hay consumption slowed down a bit. I wasn't optimistic it would last, but it is still in great condition. Bought another one just a couple months ago for my geriatric mare who literally has done nothing destructive in her entire life, and the metal part has already popped out of the top which is super poor quality and also dangerous.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lori from Great except the terrible, soft, metal rods. I am about to buy bag #4 but only have 2 horses that use them. First 2 bags were purchased Aug 2022. 1 bag had to be replaced Jan 2024 because one of the flat, metal rods poked out the end. The original, 2nd bag now needs to be replaced because both flat, metal rods have snapped in half. In both cases the nylon is in great shape. It's just the metal causing the issue. I saw a review here that has pics- the owner had attached the bag to the wall by the corners instead of the middle loop. I'm going to give that a try next. The bags are tough quality except from the soft, metal rods.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Diane22 from Disappointed After 1 week of use, the stitching came out of one entire side of the hay net. Also, the velcro is not very strong compared to the ones I bought 5 years ago. In fact, I still have the ones I bought 5 years ago, but I wanted more for a horse requiring stall rest. The original ones are still in good shape in terms of the stitching and velcro. The metal at the top has recently broken, but I just pulled the pieces out and can still use the net. After 5 years of using them, that doesn't seem unreasonable for wear and tear. So I was very disappointed when after only 1 week of using the new one, all the stitching came out one side. The new one just doesn't seem to be as good quality as my 5 year old ones unfortunately.
