Each blanket saves approximately 315 water bottles from going into a landfill! The blanket still has all the features and dependability you know and love about Deluxe turnouts, with the added bonus of being better for the environment. Its uncompromising quality and construction include breathable waterproofing to keep your horse warm, dry, and protected, silky nylon lining that's smooth against his coat, comfortable fleece padding at the withers, generous shoulder gussets for freedom of movement, and a roomy tail flap. Quick-clip front closures make taking this blanket on and off a breeze, and combined with cross-belly surcingles and nylon/elastic leg straps, provide a secure, adjustable fit.

Please note: We recommend placing embroidery on a surcingle. Embroidery on the body of the blanket may interfere with the waterproofing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ollie from Solid blanket I bought this blanket two years ago and it's worked well. It's sturdy and kept my guy warm. He is the alpha horse in the herd and fully ripped his other sheet- this one ended up with only a little snag and the clip broken, so it has fared far better. I love that it is made of earth friendly material as well. For the price difference between this and the ultimate though, I will buy ultimate blankets in the future since they have a 10 yr guarantee and the deluxe doesn't have any guarantee.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Becky from not waterproof luv this turnout... but has been leaking aroun the seams of the blanket...not to great in rainy weather... bought it last year but started using it a lot since January...weather changes a lot in Colorado. would only recommend it if it didn't leak around the seams.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anna from Doesn’t hold up well Pretty disappointed to be honest. I’ve had this blanket for less than a month. The front buckle is faulty and falls open and so the blanket ends up hanging slightly and isn’t as secure. It’s also fully rubbed off his shoulder fur. My horse normally doesn’t break blankets and also hasn’t been so sensitive to any other blankets with his fur.

The rating is based on initial reaction to the quality (high) and functionality (also high). Since the top layer is made from 315 plastic bottles, I expected it to have a plasticky feel, but it really doesn't. One complaint I have right off (not a surprise, it's in the pictures) is that the fleece over the withers is white. Stark white. It's cheap looking and will get dirty immediately. Idk what they were thinking, but a color that coordinates with the blanket would be so much classier. Wouldn't have to be the blanket color; it could be a trim color, which means most of them could be navy or black. And if they insisted on putting the same color on all the blankets, it should black, not white. Functionally I'm expecting a lot from this blanket and if it doesn't perform, I'll revise the review or delete it and start over.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Beth from Fits poorly for a turnout blanket I think how this blanket is labeled is misleading. Turnout blankets are normally fitted to allow more movement, especially in the shoulders. This blanket fits more like a stable blanket. I purchased this one thinking it should fit my non-stocky gelding but I am not impressed with the fit. I do think the quality of the blanket is well made.

I then ordered a second one immediately in a different weight. the res color is lovely but more importantly these blankets are constructed, with high quality fabric and trim. They fit great, especially the way the hind end curves. Eco-friendly, a better price than most abd a beautiful blanket. I would buy them again and higgly recommend them.
