Rated 3 out of 5 by Azliving from Too close to eyes I just purchased this fly mask. When I tried it on the eye cup area seems too shallow. The mesh was touching his eyelashes.It seems well made and the cob size was fine for my Arab. I just didn’t like that it touched his eyes. If the eye area was deeper so it would be further away from his eyes I would have been happy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cantbelieveit from Ear material mesh too big - gnats get INSIDE!! So I have actually really liked this mask! I LOVE how bug eyed it is - gives a lot of room for the eyes. Soft and has held up well. However I have released there is different material from the eyes and the ears - gnats are able to get into the ear mesh and live inside the mask :( I am DEVASTATED because I have really enjoyed it. I really, really wish smartpak would redo this to have the same fine mesh materials with the ears and the eyes. If they fixed this HORRIBLE issue this would be the most perfect mask ever. I’m pretty upset. Do not recommend - I will have to buy a different brand that has fine mesh material.

This is the best stretchy fly mask on the market hands down. The mesh is high quality and it’s one of the only ones I have found that have the nose attachment.

The mask is easy to clean and surprisingly sturdy: I only had to patch the nose seam once. Other brand masks are completely destroyed. I cut off ears and it fits better and stays better without ears.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SmartPaker Linda from Absolutely Amazing Fly Mask! After many decades of owning horses, I find myself trying to provide the best possible care for my horse and pony. One of the nagging issues is the constant fight against a sunburned nose. SmartPak Comfort Fly Mask - Extended Nose w/ SmartCore™ Technology, provides UPF 50 sun protection. When I opened the package with these fly masks, I immediately walked to the pasture and put them on my two guys. They were wearing the older fly masks with the fleece bindings which make them so hot around the ears and crown. After walking away, the horses contentedly began to graze. I love everything about this fly mask. It has just enough stretch that I can easily put it on their faces and over their ears without a struggle. I love this design. It fits well, is light, and is comfortable. I bought a cob for the pony and a horse for my QH. The screening is lighter than other masks and that allows better airflow and allows me to see their eyes, which is very important. The mesh around the eyes, ears, and nose keeps even the smallest insects out of the most sensitive areas. There is no Velcro or stiff mesh. The forelock hole allows you to pull the forelock through the fly mask keeping the forelock from becoming rubbed, tangled, and in my horses’ eyes. They're very sturdy and stretchy. I love the strong eye sections! They don't lay on the face. A bonus is that you can ride in them. They are light enough to fit under a bridle. I can change these on the horses every day and wash the dirty ones because we have several of them. They machine wash well and I hang them to dry.

My horses aren't always the Angels I'd like them to be, at least I can be sure they'll wear these masks without unnecessary interruption!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Annemarie from Love these masks with/wo Extended nose. I love this, especially for hacking out. Fits nicely over bridle. I have (several) in the same brand without extended nose and have never had an issue with him getting it off. We have 5 horses at the barn who wear this brand and not one has gotten/taken them off and we are into year 3 using them. They wash well, if you feel they are stretching out, go down a size. Cob fits my Morab perfectly and has not stretched out at all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Addie from Waste of Money Got this in May for my TB. Good product at first glance, but my horse won't keep it on. He doesn't play rough or anything. My sister got 3 more for her QH mares before I tested mine and they won't keep them on either. We'll come into the paddock and the masks will be half off obscuring their vision (big safety thing). They stretch out easy as well. Don't waste your money.
