Instructions

Instructions for Use:

Apply to a clean, dry hoof. Scoop out small amount of Hoof Wax and work between fingers until soft and malleable. Press the wax into affected area and continue with small pieces until the cavity is filled. When used for barefoot horses, check weekly and refill as needed. For horses with shoes, repeat during each shoeing.

I’ve been using the product for almost 2 weeks and it is helping to offer protection against a wet paddock. So far so good. If you follow the directions and knead the wax it’s easy to apply and it stays put. The trick is to smear it on rather than push it into the crevice. Pleasant smell too.

I apply this wax to the hole every few days to prevent more moisture& mud and it stays great. I apply it with my bot knife.

Rated 2 out of 5 by OTTBeventer from Works on cracks high up on hoof, but not sole I bought this after seeing great reviews and video showing this product actually working. It looks like when applying that it will stay well, but it does not. When applied to cracks out the outer hoof wall in areas that do not tough the ground it says on for about a day. However, when applied to the sole or any area of the wall in contact with the ground it lasts maybe 10 mins max. Overall disappointing for the price.

Once you warm and shape the wax, it's really easy to apply to the hoof to fill cracks and crevices. A little goes a long way, and the wax stays put for days! I only need to reapply like once a week. Looking forward to seeing how this works long term.

I LOVED the idea of this product and was so excited to use it on my newly barefoot Friesian. Smartpak got it to my door so fast just like they always do. It was super easy to apply although it didn’t even last the short walk to his stall without coming off. I gave it another try this evening and again came off within minutes of being in his stall. Great concept but not worth the money.

I also have used Pure Sole Hoof Mud beginning June 2018. Took care of thrush in cleft of frog. Was easy to use. Non-toxic and can be applied with your hand. Does not damage surrounding healthy tissue. Pure Sole products are terrific. I believe in them and they work.
