My halter was not exposed to the elements at all. So annoying to pay for something that doesn’t last! Now I have a leather halter with a lame plate I can’t even get off to replace it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sporti from Would not recommend Edwardian Script After having another name plate made, using a different font, for my one horse, I wanted to get my mare a halter name plate. I searched the internet for font examples to get an accurate example of the font. I chose Edwardian Script for my mare. I would not recommend. My font is super small and is aligned on the bottom of the name plate instead of the center. I would recommend a generic font.

Rated 2 out of 5 by tbrider from Nice engraving, but it rusts so fast. I bought three of these in the last year in the silver color. Smartpak was so kind to redo one where the engraving was a bit off (kudos to Smartpak) and so they were all perfect engraving wise. Two of them live on memorial halters, so they are inside in in a climate controlled space. Those two are looking ok, but a bit tarnished. The third one lives on a working halter that occasionally goes outside, but is kept from the weather. It has been about 6 months, and the screws are rusty and it has started to transfer to the plate. Wish everything was stainless like it used to be. My coach has one that she bought a decade ago, and it has been out in the weather, and it is still perfect. Ugh.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MayDay from Highly disappointed in the quality Bought this for my guy's 'show halter' (i.e. he only wears it to shows). Got it in May, my horse has worn it for two weekends, the halter hangs in the tack room the rest of the time. I picked the block print over script after seeing other reviewers complaints that the script fonts seemed to rust easily. Sadly noticed the rust last weekend while we were at a show. Highly disappointed, expected better quality from a SmartPak product.
