Rated 1 out of 5 by DVM007 from Accident waiting to happen I purchased this item to assist with mounting as I’m hemiparetic. The product is horrible! The steps are only 7.5 inches deep and 8 inches tall. There’s no safe way for my size 6 feet to stand on them, much less with a cane or someone to help support me. So for the time being it’s far safer to be lifted onto a truck tailgate and then lifted to standing. Oh and for extra: smartpak requires I ship it back to MA from CA and the best price I found was $436 for shipping HOWEVER the thing is manufactured and was shipped from Southern California. So if there’s anyone who has deer feet and wants to buy this thing off me…

I am short and have arthritis so getting on my 15.3 horse was intimidating and anxiety inducing for me even with a 3 step. This mounting block has completely taken my anxiety away and it is so easy to get on now, even bareback! Very sturdy and easy to move. Surprisingly lightweight for how large it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chip338 from Makes Mounting Easy I've had this now for 2 months. I have had 2 frozen shoulders so mounting my 16H horse was scary for me. My friends at the barn laughed at it at first but have since in many cases used it. I highly recommend it, it's sturdy and easy to move.

Very sturdy and well made. Light enough to still be moved around without hurting your back. Very stable even when standing on the top step. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CRF64 from Love this 4 step mounting block!!! I am disabled and have the 3 step mounting block which was not quite tall enough. The 4 step gives me the height I need to be able to mount my 15.3 hand mare. The step is wide enough that I can use my crutches on the steps if I'm very careful. I will probably have hand rails built so I can mount and dismount by myself. The block is extremely sturdy and well built. At 27 lbs I can easily move it with one hand while using one crutch. I will be purchasing a couple more as I can afford it. One to keep in my horse trailer and one for at my trainer's facility. I was told it could take 2-4 weeks for delivery, it arrived less than a week after I placed the order. Thank you to the supplier for making sure their product went out in a timely manner. Thanks to whoever designed this 4 step mounting block!!
