Rated 5 out of 5 by SmartPaker Carrie from Great boot for recovery! My horse recently went through treatment for a large abscess. My farrier had to pull his shoe but he has very thin soles and it was important to still protect his hoof for the elements. I love that I could treat my horse's abscess and then place the boot on over it. It saved on having to rebandage every day. This boot also did not rub his bulbs like other boots have in the past. It provided plenty of cushion until he was healed enough to have a shoe. I highly recommend having a pair on hand for all those unexpected hoof issues!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JillK from Starting to come apart after 2 weeks 😢 I would love to be giving the cloud boots 5 stars because my horse loves them, they are easy to deal with and they stay on. Unfortunately they started falling apart after just 2 weeks of using them for turnout at night. I take them off during the day. Also the pads inside the boots became completely squished down and very uneven after barely 2 weeks! Initially I was so impressed but now I am very disappointed. Not sure if it's because my OTTB is very playful and energetic, but I still think they should last at least a few months for the price. I really wish they were more durable because I love everything else about them.

I didn't even realize she was uncomfortable up front (even with her shoes on) until I saw how happy she was in these. I've been using them basically 24 hours a day in her in-and-out setup which is pretty mucky right now. They've stayed on no problem, no rubs, and they stay clean inside. I'm occasionally using sole packing in them and after a few weeks her soles and frogs already look better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Remington from Poor boot construction My gelding was diagnosed with laminitis in June and ended up at the University of MN for monitoring. He wore the easy boots as prescribed. He was in a stall with shavings and later his stall with a small pen turnout. Within 2 weeks the boots started collapsing. Within 4 weeks the velcro totally failed and I had to wrap with duct tape to keep them in place. I contacted smart pak, sent photos and called to check up on what was going on. I still don't have an update. I am very disappointed in the boots themselves-high quality velcro is easy to obtain for the boot construction. I have used size 2, 3, and 4. Smart Pak also doesn't sell the replacement pads so I got those elsewhere. When you are faced with laminitis-you need to be able to depend on your products and response. I am very disappointed in this. I have now switched to cavallo boots which are holding up much better and no rubs on his feet!

However when the Farrier trims his feet too short then he's 3 legged lame for a week! This has happened twice now and we recently lost a week's worth of schooling time prior to his next show SO, I bought these boots and they fit great! The memory foam is Really Thick! At least when he gets turned out he can make it down the gravel driveway & not be in pain until his feet grow out! Oh & I sized up one size just to make sure they'd fit & they did!

I have a horse on some therapeutic shoes, and when the shoe is prematurely lost, we have these on hand to use until shoe is back on. We had a boot on for over ten days, great results, wearing in turnout too. We have several sizes on hand. Great option on a sore foot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mrh1 from Not true to size- runs small My vet measured my horse's hooves, and I measured them the next day. We both got the same measurements. I ordered the correct size according to the chart. The boots would not even go over my horse's heel. Since my horse hasn't actually been able to wear the boots yet, I can't really rate the other aspects if this product. SmartPak to the rescue! Returns are free, but they went further. The expedited the replacement pair for free! I haven't had many problems with products, but when issues have come up, SmartPak has always handled it politely and generously. Here's hoping that moving up one size (which is way to big according to the size chart) does the trick!
