Rated 3 out of 5 by Knox from A Smidge Small I really wanted to love these but I can't. Wearing regular socks - not too thin, but not thick winter socks either - and my toe was up against the front of the boot, very unusual for me as I almost never have women's size 11 fit problems. I also didn't notice much cushion in the boot when I tried it on, though on the plus side, the shaft had plenty of space for my jeans to tuck down into. Am returning due to size and sizing up isn't an option for an 11 so...bummer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ek273 from Uncomfortable and odd fit I'm sure these boots would get less stiff with wear, as most leather boots do, but frankly I don't want to try to wear them long enough to see if that happens. The calf is very wide (I don't have slim calves, but these are very gappy at the top anyway) and the foot part is so weird--it's wide enough that my heels slide around, but narrow enough that my toes feel a little squished, and going down a half size would be too small front-to-back but up a half size would mean my heel would be all over the place. Also, the back of the boot has extra structure to it to about a third of the way up the calf, and it presses really uncomfortably on the back of my leg when I walk. All in all, very disappointing.

The toe is peeling, the inner calf “padding” is rubbing through and the calf is huge! I’m slim but you could fit two of my legs in them even with the laces redone and pulled as tight as they could go. They are so gappy they let half a bale of hay and a bag of shavings in. Very annoying but as I didn’t buy them from smartpak (just happened to come across them on the site and figured I’d review them anyways) I can’t return them. I initially got them in hopes of fitting my ankle brace in them. But they don’t have enough flex in the ankle to do that with. Oh did I mention they are falling apart? Not worth it at all.

All agreed they ran small. I am a size 9 and ordered a 10. They are a perfect fit and look and feel amazing. I used the string to tighten my calf area. I run a small horse farm so I will follow-up on how the hold up in Cowgirl Territory! Boots up! Kat

The boot is boxier and the insole is different. It hit the outside of my foot and was uncomfortable. They seemed narrower through the instep. I wanted to love them, but had to send them back. They are still a nice boot.
