Rated 5 out of 5 by SmartPaker Carrie from Favorite bit for young horses! I was looking for a snaffle bit that was double jointed to avoid tongue pinching and that also encourages the horse to chew. This bit checked all those boxes and had a great price point. It can be very difficult to find the right bit for a young horse and you may have to purchase a few before you get the right one. I greatly appreciated that this bit was high quality at a great price point in case it wasn't the right one for my young OTTB. Thankfully he loved the wide mouthpiece and we have been jumping in this bit since!

I have tried everything even just a rubber bit, happy mouths mullens, everything But this one worked. He still needs sharps taken care of with the dentist but until then I have the oval link. Thank you.

My mare is a rescue with an unknown background, but came with a really hard mouth and a lot of work related anxiety. Lots of dental work later, her mouth is all fixed, and after trying a few different bits she seems the least anxious in this and has stopped fussing as much. Its a keeper!

My OTTB and I have recently started dressage training after years of hunters, and are slowly but surely learning how to be round and soft on the bit. We'd be borrowing an Albacon loose ring from my trainer that isn't made anymore, and this was the closest thing to that bit I could find. It's a bit thinner than the Albacon and I've found that he's even more willing to come round when in this bit. I'm very pleased and my gelding is happy!
